yes it did but regardless of where the word originated from if we assume all humans came from earth and moved onto all theses planets it makes sense that the term carries on.then again i could just be spouting rubbish

earth also refers to soil and ground as opossed to the planet earth

in the beginning they mentioned "earthquakes" how can they have earthquakes when its not earth, hell they never even heard of the name earth...so shouldn't it be like (name of their planet)quakes? lol.(btw) you said "You know girls, they never listen to their parents, i know i never listened to my parents" so, your a girl now eh? :P kinda a brutish voice to ya then.
