Gobbi, one of the greatest & most intelligent singing actorsof any era, completely dissolves into the role of the misshapen, misbegotten jesterupon whom the vengeful courtiers have exacted a terrible & tragic justice! Gobbi'sexpressive instrument gives voice to the complex & devastating emotionssuffered by Rigoletto as we watch with pity & awe his tortured response!Great film!!!
