@ReconByFiree Hello boys...I went to basic training Aug. 1970 at Ft. Campbell ...The Army made me a Combat Corpsman & Operating Rm. Tech. Peace & good shooting. I have been shooting just about everything..... since 1959.

An order of around 6000 was placed of the M39 variant of this weapon system. Still going strong like the ak..

@14bcstitles Not correct. The 39 in the cartridge name is the length of the shell casing (the shell casing is 39mm long). Understandable mistake, though. Back when smokeless powder was being used as a propellant, the last number in a cartridge's nomenclature was the amt of black powder in the casing. .45-70 had 70 grains of black powder. .30-30 WCF had 30 grains of black powder. :)
