if they redid this movie with some serious money it would be epic. the book is mind-blowing! i like the remake but it still can't reach the book... and i can't take movies from the eighties seriously (which is probably a pity). and btw the spice is so important because it allows one to look into the future and therefore makes it possible to travel through space at a speed that doesn't need years to reach the next planet.

How could they encapsulate all the mind-bending stuff in a movie? The book is an epic piece of literature that needs to be read to be believed. Its scope is so vast,... it touches on everything.
