@BlacknesUnforgivable Miles chose him because Bill, like Miles, was into the modal thing at the time. Miles said in his autobiography that he needed a pianist who could pick up, musically speaking, on what he was trying to accomplish. Bill Evans had been recommended to Miles by Wynton Kelly.

the tenor saxophone solo reminds me of when I used to play in jazz band when I was in the 6th grade oh how it made me tear up listening to this because those were the good days. Makes me want to go out, buy a tenor sax, and start playing again <3 |
