People shouldn't assume provocation, but provocation does certainly occur, because my mother would do it on purpose. She would antagonize my father with him telling her for several minutes that she's going to provoke him to lose his temper and hit her. She would do it on purpose so she could tell everyone that he hit her and turn everyone against him. Of course it would be absurd if I were suggesting that he shouldn't have just left the house instead.

I thank you for your honesty and openness in sharing the journey of survival of domestic violence. Teaming up with likes of Felicity Okolo would drive this message home.

"Destructful" must be a word if Picard says it is.

The strong should never harm the weak. The purpose of strength , no matter who wields it, is to serve and protect those that are unable to protect themselves.

@MyElka1 I guess they want you to become ignorant of the facts and just accept that women and children are the victims in domestic violence.

@PraecoNoctis If "people - quite rightly - perceive it as "more wrong", because of course a woman cannot fight back as effectively", then why don't we regard a larger man fighting a smaller man in the same way? If it is just an issue of "size", and not sexism against men.

And Mr. Stewart had enough abuse, so the brave man hopped in his Enterprise and left his old life behind...only to start a new one among the stars. A life where he would be accepted. Stars do not judge, nor abuse. They just shine....like Patrick Stewart 8) |
