Nocturne in C# minor Opus Posthumous - Frédéric ChopinFirst of all, I know this interpretation sucks. Thank you to all the positive feedback, whether it was genuine or not. But even the most flattering words do not change the fact that the critics are correct. (And truth be told, I am chief among them.)Don't feel bad, I'm just an amateur. If I were a professional pianist who did this for a living, this would be horrendously embarrassing. As it is... I'm probably 15-20% satisfied with it. You have to admit though, the first minute or so is at least decent. From there it goes steeply downhill. Especially 2:15 to 2:35. (wtf?)I also have to mention that while the critics are correct as far as the rhythm, legato, feeling and interpretation, I must explain that I recorded this video with a less than superior microphone that did not pick up volume changes worth a damn. That, on top of the generation loss when the vid was transferred to YouTube makes the piece sound WAY louder than what was originally played by me. Most of the piece is actually quite soft and it just did not translate well to YouTube. Yes, it still was probably too loud when I first played it anyways, but I just wanted to explain that so you don't get the impression that I am COMPLETELY incapable of dynamics. ;)So... even though this is terrible, thank you for all the views. 50k and counting! :)

this is really good :) but you need to keep the same speed & rhythm with left hand .. overall nice!

fingering doesnt matter that much as long as you can play it. the thing with this piece tho like all of chopins nocturnes is to make sure to keep the left hand steady and sort of flowing throughout. thats the only thing that making your tempo sound off, if you just practice keeping the left hand tempo steady, you can do whatever with the right and it will pretty much fix the entire piece

I've been playing as an amateur for 15 years, and personally I think this is quite good. Sure, there is room for improvement, but when is there ever not? I like your attitude towards playing and towards criticism. You show a lot of promise.

He definitely interpreted differently from other pianist. Good. I just felt that he played like polonaise at the middle part

You might want to find a teacher who can show you how to sit at the piano and how to imoprove your hand position : ) These details are crucial to beautiful tone. Fundamentals matter!

Thank you for playing the piano that way : cool, sensitive and... your own way ! I really loved it ; the technical stuff is not so important. Bravo !

the tempo is not very consistent.i would focus more on putting more emotion into the music.. as opposed to trying to move your body (as you are beginner) right now it's not very consistent (ur body movement..) on the easy parts you move quite a bit. then on the more difficult parts you are concentrating so hard that ur stiff and glaring at the keys
