The game is not what it use to be..everything gets turned into a charade..prices inflated..trapped into teaser rates, exponential growth of the interest, going to college, mortgages, reality tv. It's all part of a much broader network. Tthe devastation on parent child relationships and future public employment has been cataclysmic. It's challenging when you are trying to balance so many layers of potential economic and emotional ruin, while trying to improve yourself. This too shall pass.

THE ONES WHO DISAGREE ARE 57... JUST THOUGHT TO MENTION. I TOO AM ON THE LIKE SECTION BECAUSE IVE BEEN AND GRADUATED, BUT SADLEY I AM LESS CHOSEN THAN SOMEONE THAT DIDNT GO TO COLLEGE FOR IT. AS I DID TRAINED FOR MORE YEARS... WHAT A WASTE OF HARD WORK. MAKES ME SO SAD AND UPSET.

There are so many people at my college right now who are seeking degrees in fields that are basically useless. Yes they do grossly over charge you to attend college but that should be the biggest motivation for you to seek a degree in something useful. I dont like the degree Im seeking right now but I know there are so many avenues for me once I get out of college some involve a nice pension.

@KillerXify I have enough in my savings also, but I'm not sure that my college degree was worth it. I've also considered going into the military after college (I actually got something in the mail from them the other day), but I'm pretty sure I can't live in the military for the rest of my life. I don't even fit the military type. It would be nice to get some sort of tech job in the military because I have a college degree, but I know that won't happen. I've had really bad luck my whole life.

Actually Im only 21 years old and yes do I have enough money in my savings account in case of emergencies. I aint super rich though so the answer is no. I do however have a plan for college and will using skills acquired in the military into the civilian sectors. You should talk to a military recruiter for more information.
