they have a website for the sanctuary, too, where you can see all of their elephants and read their stories.. what they're doing is awesome

I am updating my earlier post about the death of Joanna Burke. Joanna loved Winkie, this was an unfortunate tragedy. But she is buried among the ones she loved so much. We should all be so fortunate!

ok.. the caning was effin rude. she's an animal and shes a female! animals cant be expected to behave like humans. animal abuse pisses me off.

Didn't Stephen Harper say he doesn't watch CBC, CTV, or any Canadian News Channel....He primarily watches CNN ....What a shame... But Canadian TV is mighty boring

I agree with one of the comments.... outlaw ZOOs and circuses, along with rodeos while your at it!Bless you for having this sanctuary.

Pingtampa, I agree- Carol is a remarkable women, unfortunately even in America as in the rest of the world, the number of facilities that engage in the abuse of animals outnumber those that protect them. If only zoos and circuses were banned for good.....
