@TheWanderinMinstrel I waisted a good portion of my time, last week, explaining why Beatles fans weren't 'average' with some other moron from the USA. All he could say was that Dylan was the modern day equivalent of Poe, that the Beatles had long hair was no more original than that of native americans, and that 'surf rock' was where things were at! Jealous. Get a life son!

@superman11978 'Don't be jealous'... why would I be jealous? I have no part in the musical creation of either Dylan or Lennon/McCartney. Popularity of either is not reflected on myself in any way.

@TheWanderinMinstrel No, Dylan is not appreciated until a band with great musical talent plays one of his songs and completely changes up the arrangement. They could just as well take a written poem and make a great song out of it (see: Golden Slumbers). It's them, not Dylan. Don't be jealous that The Beatles beat him not just musically and vocally (by light years), but in all other possible ways. Dylan would win a poetry contest -- but this is music.

The best harmony and melody is The Beatles hands down. Especially Lennon/McCartney combo. |
