@AbernathyProductions Maynard did an interview in which he spoke about the meaning of this song. He said that it was a drug talking to an addict. Given the context of the Hicks quote I'm inclined to disagree except that there is another song by maynard, which you're probably aware of, called counting bodies like sheep which is political and it has most of the same lyrics.

I know Maynard likes comedian Bill Hicks and made a song with quotes from him and I'm wondering if when the song says go back to sleep he is referring to Hicks saying "Go back to sleep America" in one of his shows. Any thoughts?

sad, many people will know this song from the show "missing"'s commercial but they will not know it is APC...why the hell do they never give credit to the artists they use on commercials...!? ugh.

@dbzluva987654321 Honestly, I don't want to leave. My previous comment was kinda vague. I love the ideals my country was built on, but I hate what corrupt politicians have made my beloved America into. I can't see myself anywhere else permanently, this is my home ya know?
