@zhaster It also has quite a strong resonance in Ireland zhaster as Doire points out that its one of the few we can both sing.

@iambeastLol. i meant no disrespect im simply saying, it didnt end all conflict, and the future lest we forgets are us. war is coming again, and our grandchildren will be arguing the same old argument in 60 years. its a wheel that wont stop turning. we dont stand on the shoulders of giants, we crawl across the bodies of the innocent. i fully understand the horror, i have a son, who boasts his father was a soldier. i dont want him to pick up a rifle for oil or vanity.

I recently learned to sing this song on guitar and all my friends who have never heard it before demand that I play it every single time I come over. I love this version because I feel the sadness in his voice. Someday I'll post it on YouTube but i refuse to post this song until its perfect! Its too important!
