Sony MDR-XB700 headphones - Review
These headphones, really do walk the walk!I bought them several weeks ago, because i felt that my new university room-mates wouldn't appreciate the sound of my Logitech X-540 sound system :PSo i wanted something that could replace - act like my sound system at home, without bothering people. When they first came in, they were huge, as expected. -They have adjustable phones, and adjustable sizes, for all types of heads!-The padding on the top of the headphones, which rest on the top of your head, provide extra comfort when listening to music, or gaming.-The padding on the part which fit around your ears, is very very soft!-Metal finish on the phones.-Rectangular - flat shaped wire-Long jackI recommend these headphones to anyone who likes any type of music. The reason i say any, is because, when i got these i thought the bass would be too overwhelming, and take priority over the other sounds, such as vocals, treble etc.. However, i can definitely say, that these headphones give a good range. For example: Listening to billie jean - MJ, satisfaction - benni benassi, jay sean - ride it. From all areas, these headphones really do kick ass! Before i bought these i had the mdr-ex 500's, from sony. I use these when i'm on the move. This is the only problem you may face with the Xb700's...They are huge for a reason, thus not recommended for on the move. However, you might wish to take them on the move, and there wouldn't be any problem with doing so.In this review i haven't made it too clear upon all the factors, as i am not the most technical person, when it comes to headphones - earphones, but from what i have heard from these, i can really recommend them, especially at their £75 price tag.PROS:-Deliver the sound-Bass is significant, but not too overwhelming-Nice design-Adjustable for all sizes of heads - ears.-Padding, is very comfortable-Nice carry pouch provided with itCONS:-Not recommended for over 3-4hrs of constant use-Aren't too comfortable with reading glasses - But this can be expected with every other headphones-Bulky, hard to carry around-Can be heard by others whilst been worn-Noise cancellation is good, but not perfectOn a final note:On the second day of having these, I played Battlefield 1943 on almost full volume at 1am. Let me tell you, shooting is booming with these on, and getting shot is terrifying. :DI hope i have helped :DHere is a non-professional review of the Sony MDR-XB700 headphones, by me, Totally Dubbed.I hope you enjoy this video, and comment and rate if possible.
